RUNNING

There are 4 schools which leave every morning from the top parking lot of the Virgin Active Gym.
Join a school that suits your current pace.
AZZURRI (A School) – average pace 4:15-5:00 minutes per km and cover 11-14km
NAVY SEALS (B School) – average pace 5:00-5:45 min per km and cover 9-12km
SKY HAWKS (C School) – average pace 5:45-6:30 min per km and cover 8-10km
STEEL BULLETS (D School) – average pace 6:30-7:30 mins per km and cover 7-9km

The groups leave at 05h00 on weekdays and 06h00 on weekends (although there are seasonal variations. Be sure to check the training section for regular updates.

Everyone, including non club members are welcome and invited to join us.

TRIATHLON

The club has a number of participants in the growing sport of triathlon. Depending on time of year, some of our runners focus on the Ironman series, Olympic distances or ultra distances (encompassing half or full Ironman). The section overlaps with the running schools. Swims happen at the Bedfordview Virgin Active with open water swims either at Bass Lake, Cradle Moon or Prime View.
Whether you’re dreaming of the World Championships, enhancing your running career or simply want to have a more active lifestyle, triathlon can be the sport to get you there. With plenty of opportunities to get involved, you’re just a swim, bike and run away from where you want to be.
